Ira Gooding

Ira Gooding is the Open Education Manager at the Center for Teaching and Learning (CTL), an associate in the Department of Health Policy and Management, and a Provost’s Fellow for Digital Initiatives. Ira joined CTL in 2006 to lead the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health OpenCourseWare effort, which published open educational resources related to more than 100 courses taught by Bloomberg School faculty. He has supported the development of more than 80 massive open online courses on Coursera and FutureLearn. In his role as Provost’s Fellow, Ira leads the Digital Education and Learning Technology Acceleration grant program, which has awarded more than 25 grants totaling more than $1.5 million.
